What is collected
Information you give directly. If you send a message through the contact form or leave a comment, the details you supply are stored so I can reply to you.
Information collected automatically. Standard analytics data, including pages viewed, approximate location, referring site, browser and device type. This is aggregated and is not used to identify you personally.
Analytics and third parties
This site uses Google Analytics and Google Search Console to understand how visitors find and use it. These services set their own identifiers and process data under their own terms. Affiliate links to Amazon and other retailers may also set identifiers so that the retailer can attribute a purchase to this site.
Legal basis and retention
Analytics is processed on the basis of consent where required. Messages you send are processed on the basis of legitimate interest in responding to you, and are kept only as long as needed for that purpose.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data held about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Shane Stanford has fished for carp for over twenty years, in the UK and in France, and currently fishes a private syndicate water in West Sussex.
